I’ve seen a trend in my research on highly successful commercials. They are always making an amazing videos!

There is always one primary differentiator which makes the spot truly amazing and engaging to the right group of people.

  • A compelling story
  • Engaging talent
  • Beautiful footage
  • Some sort of production gimmick
  • Striking locations
  • Curious props

In film school it was regularly beaten into us that alignment is the key to any great production. We were told to create a powerful vision and story and then use the visuals, talent, editing, color correction, graphics, titles, locations, properties, and anything else to emphasize the vision! All of these elements must be carefully aligned around the vision.

The most Amazing Videos and best Production in the World

This is exactly why film industry productions have large cruise with sometimes hundreds of people. Each of these people has a manager and those managers report to department leads and those people report directly to the CEO in charge of that amazing vision.

After all, the most amazing and best productions in the world are just like a company… A group of people pursuing a shared vision.

There’s a massive shift coming in the amazing video production industry, it’s going to make some of these elements of an amazing video even more important!

  • Equipment is becoming a lot cheaper
  • Video production has been put in the hands of anyone with a cell phone
  • It’s even more important to engage people now
  • More people want great and amazing video that stands out
  • Amazing video is a primary communication tool used by large brands
  • Online video advertising creates the highest response rate

This massive shift where the equipment is inexpensive, there are more people doing amazing video production and schools are pumping out more and more producers.

It’s all being driven by the demand of marketers and brands as they rush to communicate using this medium.

Using Amazing Videos and Looking to Inspire Some Customers and Get more Brand Exposure

When I’ve talked to some advertising companies in town, I’ve always been surprised they are using video more. Sometimes the tried-and-true traditional methods of media advertising. Text and articles, and other public relations methods are the most effective.

Even destination BC, which is the Canadian advertising department looking to spark tourism. They are using amazing video and looking to inspire some customers… And get more brand exposure by researching consumers around the world and looking to put BC on the forefront.

I see a lot of short films being produced and I have yet to hear a story where someone is making a great income doing short films for broadcast. I know there is a lot of television shows and even provincially funded networks always looking for amazing video. Such as the National Film Board. I just haven’t met anyone who is a regular producer and happy with their income.

Different Personalities Creating Amazing Videos with a short Series

Many filmmakers begin working with brands in order to make real cash and use the opportunity to produce some strong spots.

I know that Telus was producing a series of shorts using local producers. They got a lot of strange and unique ideas and produced a series of publicly-funded shorts.

I found the travel bloggers and YouTube personalities creating amazing video with a short series. Which are released every week to be very interesting.

I’m getting the feeling that the media is becoming shorter and more bite-sized with easy consuming over social, YouTube or other online publishing methods. I’m expecting this trend to continue.

Movie Theater and Theatrical Attendance has been on a Dismal Decline

If you look yet North American movie cinema attendance per capita, you’re going to see a slight reduction of 1.5% over the last 20 years. This doesn’t sound like much until you realize that only 3% of people will attend a theater in any given year.

So we’ve had nearly a 30% decrease over the last two decades from 5% to 3.5%. With an overall general downtrend of long-form media.

Movie theater and theatrical attendance has been on a dismal declined since the 1940s. I’m wondering if this is an indication people don’t like going to long-format theatrical productions or not?

Larger studio productions are becoming more and more careful of the quality of engagement.

Maybe studios are more willing to cut low performers quickly in order to capitalize on higher engagement to drive box office successes.

So with a slow and steady decline of theatrical movies and movie rentals. It’s crystal clear people are moving into consuming their media online from services like Netflix, Prime video and YouTube.

We make “The” Best Style in Animation Production!

I have positioned our company around this trend and we are producing short-form media and branded works for many years now. I’m expecting this trend to increase and the amount of short-form media… To become more and more in demand as consumers use it more and more frequently.
